1- Preparation of substrate :

• The surface must be solid and free of the residue of all kinds (cement, coating, oil materials, dust, etc...) It must be completely dry.
• Porous surfaces must be hydrated and then left to dry before use.
• In case the application is on pre-existing tile type AKRE PRIMER 2054 should be used for a perfect result.
• The back of the tile should be wiped with water if it is dusty.

2- Application

• Mixing:

  Add AKRE MIX SUPER 1054 slowly to the amount of clean water in the mixing bowl (28% water ratio) while avoiding adding any other substances during mixing, then mix using a low-speed mechanical mixer, quietly and for 2 minutes until we reach a homogeneous mixture, free of clusters, let the mixture rest for 2 minutes, then re-mix for(30-60 sec), and the mixture is ready to apply.

• Spreading :

  Spread the mortar on the surface using a notched trowel so that the size of its notches is proportional to the size of the tile, and to get stronger adhesion we start spreading by the flat side of the trowel and then use the notched side at an angle suitable for the trowel so that we do not remove the mortar from the surface. spreading the mortar parallel to the short side of the tile and one way, as well as in the same direction on the surface. In the same way, we spread the mortar on the back of the tile, so we get stronger homogenization and adhesion, especially on floors that are exposed to high pressure or when the tile dimensions are large (greater than 40X40 cm). The consumption is ( ~ 5 kg / 1 m² / 3-4 mm ) on average, as this ratio changes depending on the application conditions and surface properties. The mortar in the bowl remains usable for up to 6 hours. The tiles can be adjusted after being installed on the surface for up to (30-45) minutes, considering climatic conditions ( high temperature, drought, wind, etc…) may reduce this time to just a few minutes.

• Installation :

  place the tile on the surface and move it slightly towards a parallel to the longer side of the tile with constant pressure to ensure that the tile’s background is in full contact with the adhesive and the surface.

Post-application recommendation:

• Do not use the remaining mortar after the time of its validity in the bowl.
• It should be kept away from water for 24 hours after installation.
• Use Akre Grout to fill joints after 8 hours for walls and 24 hours for floors.
• The floors become ready for light foot traffic (walking) over themafter 24 hours of installation.

Cleaning: :

• Clean equipment and hands with direct water
• Clean the surface of the stuck material after installation with a wet cloth.

Storage:

• Storage in relatively dry warehouses away from humidity and direct sunlight.
• No more than 10 bags should be placed on top of each other during storage.
• Shelf life 12 months in appropriate conditions.

Packaging:

• Multi-ply paper bag 20 kg.
• Multi-ply paper bag 25 kg.

AKRE MIX SUPER 1054 is a cement chemical compound containing substances that cause eye irritation and skin sensitivity so the following safety instructions must be adhered to:

• Wear gloves and goggles while working.
• Wear masks to protect respiratory health.
• Any scratch on the skin or eyes should be treated with pure water immediately.
• If the substance is ingested by mistake, a doctor must be checked immediately without attempting to stimulate vomiting.
